Modern virtual product development uses mesh data with time dependent information. A fundamental example of such development is car design, very fine numerical discretizations are used with detailed geometries, material models, connections like welds for different load cases are used.
In the product desing cycle , several thousand simulations are run which generate several thousand gigabytes of information. A way to deal with the data access problem is to use loosy compression that do not affect the representation for design objectives.
I develope compression methods for mesh data that are now part of the compression tool FEMZip, almost a standard in the car companies. The tools is today distributed by the spin-off company SIDACT vv
To change the background click on the label bar and in the layer window select the style tab.
Choose a source from the background top tab then upload an image or pick a background color.
To add a layer, click the green plus button in the left sidebar and select the type of layer.
Select any layer and you can edit its content and style properties in the layer window.
